| Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana blends Bible teaching, evangelism, Scripture memorization and games for children ages 4-14 . The children are broken into four age and grade groups. The Cubbies are the four-year-olds, Sparks are kindergarten through second grade, Clubbers are children in third through sixth grade, and J.V. is seventh and eight grade.
